Our Mission & Inclusivity
Mistley Kids Club is a non-profit organisation that is completely inclusive. We cater for children of all abilities. All of our children interact with each other and get along brilliantly, even though there is a wide range of communication methods used. Our mainstream children are extremely helpful with our children with additional needs, playing with and helping them to make sure that they are all having fun.
Whether in mainstream primary/secondary schools or special educational needs (SEN) environments, our kids interact seamlessly daily. Through this integration, they learn tolerance, patience, and social interaction that helps them through critical transitions (pre-school to primary, primary to secondary).

As a registered charity, every penny we make goes directly back into providing a richer experience for the children. This includes updating sensory equipment, buying new toys, and funding special day trips. We are deeply grateful for the community donations and active support that keeps our club going!
Without the support of our parents and local community leaders, we would not be able to buy specialized sensory toys or plan the amazing field trips that the children enjoy. Every donation makes an immediate, real difference in their lives.
Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Excellence
Recognized across North East Essex for high-quality inclusive play. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where children with physical, medical, sensory, and neurodivergent needs thrive alongside their peers.
Dedicated 1:1 Playworkers
Tailored one-to-one staff ratios for children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP), complex learning needs, or high-dependency personal care.
Accessible Wet Room & Shower
Purpose-built on-site wet room featuring specialized shower facilities and adapted toileting to maintain personal hygiene with dignity.
Electric Changing Table
Height-adjustable electric changing bed engineered to safely assist older children and young people with physical and mobility disabilities.
Quiet Sensory Regulation Room
A calm, low-stimulation haven equipped with tactile elements, gentle lighting, and soothing resources for children requiring emotional decompression.
Level Ramp & Accessible Parking
Step-free ramp entrance throughout Mistley Village Hall and reserved Blue Badge parking bays situated directly beside the facility entrance.
Ofsted Registered & Inspected
Ofsted Registration URN EY454507. Inspected in July 2024: Met all statutory welfare, safeguarding, and early years educational standards.
School Collection & Catchment Transport
Operating across North East Essex and the Tendring District. We provide daily escorted school pickups and connect families from Harwich to Manningtree.
